The marketplace is the backbone of the economy. It is where you can buy and sell virtually any item in the game, from minerals to battleships.

The market can be set to display merchandise for sale at any of 4 ranges:

• Station: only items available at this station will be shown
• Solar System: displays only items available for sale within the solar system
• Constellation: shows items available within the constellation
• Regions: all items for sale within the region will be displayed
