Factories

To use a factory, you must first have learned the Industry skill. Once you have learned that skill, you will be able to use Blueprints at factories.

You will need to rent a factory slot. To do this, you must first find an open, available slot then select the 'Rent' button. When your rental period has expired, or you forget to pay the rental fee, any blueprints will be booted out of the factory and returned to your Items/Hangar Floor. You can pay the rental fee through your Wallet->Bills Payable interface.

Once you have rented the factory, click the 'Install' button at the top of the factory screen. This will open a window of your existing blueprints from your Items/Hangar Floor, as well as a list of actions you can perform on those blueprints:

research the blueprint: improve upon the base technology
copy the blueprint: a simple duplication of the blueprint (note that you cannot make a copy of a copy)
manufacture the item: start the assembly line production of the item

Minerals are needed to perform each action.
