The five heirs to the Amarr Emperorship

There are five royal families within the Amarr Empire, each headed by the prospective Emperor/Empress. These individuals are termed heirs and must go through a rigorous selection process to choose a new head of state, culminating with the championship race, which involves citizens of the Empire. The winner succeeds to the throne, while the losers must commit ritual suicide to 'clean the slate', so to speak.

Idonis Ardishapur - Male

Religious fanatic, he is extremely conservative and xenophobic and values traditions over everything else. Not overtly militaristic, more of an isolationist. Under his leadership the empire would cut itself off from the other empires, possibly imposing strict regulations for inter-stellar trade and travel.

Jamyl Sarum - Female

Head of the most militaristic of the families, is known to settle issues with the sword alone. Firm believer in the moral and evolutionary superiority of the Amarrians. If she becomes Empress she will no doubt follow through her own conviction that might makes right.

Davit Tash-Murkon - Male

Head of the new family, the one that replaced the Khanid family. They are very wealthy, having a vast financial empire, but they will always be frowned upon by the traditionalists because they are not 'pure' Amarrians, but Udorians (a continent on Amarr Prime). The social and physical difference between the two disappeared ages ago, but the traditionalists remember. Tash-Murkon would have a hard time holding the Empire together, but Davit is the master of turning chaos into profit.

Temal Kador - Female

The Kador family has always been the symbol of the imperial Amarr Empire, symbolizing the haugthy grandeur and noble opulence of the Empire, so to speak. More Emperors have come from the Kador family than any other. If Temal ascends to the throne she would continue relations with other empires for the sake of appearance, but no large-scale social reforms would be forthcoming.

Doriam Kor-Azor - Male

A liberal philanthropist that wants to alter the Empire’s society to be more in vein with the other empires. Is ready to negotiate with the other races and listen to their views. The most 'natural' heir to carry on the work of the Heideran VII to ensure world peace.
